Big Sur to Hearst Castle

Easy drive today from Big Sur to Hearst Castle. There was fog along the coast during our trip but it was still a beautiful drive on the winding Route 1. We were able to see elephant seals along the beach that are 12 feet long and can weigh up to 2000 pounds. Hearst Castle was worth the visit, the 2 hour tour took us through the guest house, indoor pool, movie theater, and grounds of the huge property. We had a yummy Cioppino dinner at a famous spot on the water in Cambria and watched the sunset. On our way to Santa Barbara !
