The drive from Seattle to Cannon Beach was about 250 miles along the coast. We took a lot of photos along the way. Washington and Oregon are divided by the Columbia river and we stopped to check out an Eagle Sanctuary along the river. Our destination was Cannon Beach, Oregon. The photo is of Haystack rock which sits 253 high in the water. This place is neat. Everyone walks with their dogs on the beach and lights campfires made of driftwood along the beach at night which makes the air smell wonderful. We are staying at Stephanie Inn which has wine tasting each evening and gives you wood to make your own campfire. Plus our bed here is a tempur-pedic (like ours at home) !
